China has launched a high-speed train that runs on a railway line built over the sea. This train is running along the coast of Fujian province in southeastern China.
The 277 km long railway line connects the cities of Zhangzhou,
Xiamen and Fuzhou. The maximum speed of trains running on this route is 350 km per hou”
On 28 September 2023, the first high-speed train was launched on the route. This railway has 84 bridges and 29 tunnels. Along with that,
20 km railway was built over the sea. This is the first bullet train running over sea in China. The construction of this railway line started in 2016″ This railway line was constructed under the Eight Horizontal and Eight Vertical project. Just 2.5 miles across the Taiwan Strait lies the city of Xiamen.
