(3 inches) long live worm received by doctors. Live worms inside the human brain! As scary as it sounds, it happened in Australia. During surgery in Canberra in 2022, this red parasite was removed from the damaged frontal lobe tissue of the woman’s brain. Doctors believe it had been in the woman’s brain for two months. Roundworms of the genus Ophidascaris robertsii are very common among carpet pythons. This python is found throughout Australia. It is not a poisonous snake though.
